Mercedes-Benz to Welcome Pickup Truck to Lineup
Have you ever thought something was missing from the Mercedes-Benz lineup? While it has everything from crossovers and SUVs to hybrids and electric vehicles, it was always missing one thing: a 4×4 pickup truck. According to Auto Blog, that is likely going to change later this year.
“Mercedes is getting into the pickup game, and from the latest reports, it looks like it’ll come a lot sooner than expected,” writes Noah Joseph of Auto Blog. “According to Auto Express, having spoken with Benz’s van chief Volker Mornhinweg, the German automaker is slated to reveal its debut pickup truck – in concept form at least – before the end of this year. That means we might see it at the Paris Motor Show in October.”
The 4×4 pickup truck is currently without a name, but will likely go by the “X-Class.” The pickup truck market is one of the fastest-growing in the industry, making it the perfect opportunity for the already successful Mercedes-Benz. What do you think about the new addition?
